Morning Patrol: Dead Body Recovered in Desert

I conducted a two person rolling patrol in the desert south of Interstate 8 bright and early this morning. Normally, we don’t encounter much illegal alien traffic early in the day. More often than not, we don’t find anything. Today was just a little different. I'm glad I skipped breakfast.

Shortly before 9:00AM we came across a dead body in a wash. It appeared to be a Hispanic female and had been there long enough to make a stain on the soil. She was really ripe too. The area was littered with water bottles, clothing and backpacks. It appears that she had a few traveling companions and they left her for the vultures to pick clean.

After snapping a few photographs, we immediately notified the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office of our find. We met a deputy out along the main road and guided him to the scene. The deputy we spoke with five minutes before our discovery also returned. He was following our tracks. We told him if we saw anything, we’d let him know.

I escorted the deputy to the body and soon found myself handing over my ID and providing my telephone number and other personal information. Fortunately, “my papers” were in order. When asked, what I was doing out there, I stated that I was on a “desert patrol” and a member of the National Socialist Movement. That didn’t get much of a reaction from the deputy.

I said something else that did raise his eye brows, but am not at liberty to divulge this information as it pertains to our method of operation. If you want to know, you have to come out on patrol with me. I didn’t just randomly stumble upon this corpse.

Immigrant Deaths In Arizona Desert Soaring In July

The number of deaths among illegal immigrants crossing the Arizona desert from Mexico is soaring so high this month that the medical examiner's office that handles the bodies is using a refrigerated truck to store some of them, the chief examiner said Friday.

The bodies of 40 illegal immigrants have been brought to the office of Pima County Medical Examiner Dr. Bruce Parks since July 1. At that rate, Parks said the deaths could top the single-month record of 68 in July 2005 since his office began tracking them in 2000.

This should be a message for Mexicans to stay on their side of the border. The person we found this morning, learned this lesson the hard way.

Update: One might have thought I was done after leaving the scene with the Pinal County Sheriff’s office, but I was not. I am not one to let politics get in the way of doing the right thing. This deceased person more than likely had a family that would at least want closure.

Since I observed a group known as "Angeles Del Desierto" on a previous patrol searching for a presumed deceased person, I thought they might be able to make better use of my information than the medical examiner’s office. On the evening of August 11, 2010, I decided to make contact with their spokesperson, Carlos Galindo.

Carlos Galindo:
“Well I hope we can work together regularly Harry on you and your folks letting us know when you find a body. I would like to rush out to the scene and take pictures without disturbing the scene so that we can look at identifying features etc..”

Carlos was pleased to hear from me and I provided him with an accurate description of the deceased so an attempt could be made to identify her and notify any next of kin.

  1. Great job Harry. This just proves who the real humanitarians are versus who the real haters are. One is the NSM while the other is the ADL. I will let the bloggers pick their bains in cyberspace on who I mean...
