Fry’s Electronics: I exercised my rights as a consumer this afternoon.







I wore out my welcome at Fry’s Electronics at 2300 W. Baseline Rd. in Tempe, AZ this afternoon. Like Michael Douglas in the movie “Falling Down”, I stood up for my rights as a consumer. Once a retailer gets your money, they will stop at nothing to keep it no matter how wrong they were for taking it. I learned this from first hand experience. Note: I didn’t have to shoot or blow anything up like Michael Douglas did.

When a product advertises something on the package, it better be that way. In my case, the product advertised “24/7 support”. I did not get a reply from my request for support for five(5) days! All I wanted is exactly what I paid for. Nothing more and certainly nothing less. I lived up to my end of the bargain by paying. Fry’s Electronics should make sure the products they sell are on the level.

Back in 2004, I purchased a computer from Fry’s Electronics. I forked out close to $800 to have the thing literally fall apart while sitting on my desk a week after bringing it home. I attempted to return the computer and got all kinds of reasons why they didn’t want to take it back.

My problems with Fry’s Electronics were from far from over. The second computer I purchased had multiple problems as well. I ended up taking it back three(3) times while it was under warranty. I hate going to Phoenix and I was forced to return to this miserable city several times. Of course, Fry’s Electronics didn’t want to honor their warranty. A warranty is a contract and they would stop at nothing to try and breach it. I found myself threatening them and forcing them to do the right thing. I did win, but only by not backing down.

Fry’s Electronics wanted me to take my lumps and walk away. Even better, perhaps, buy a new computer. I don’t operate this way and will never back down, even to large corporations.

Most faceless greedy corporations are only interested in getting consumers hard earned dollars. In my case, everything I ever worked for cost me half of my hearing. Those dollars mean a little more to me than the average “Boobas Americanas Ignoranus” as I am living with a permanent disability due to corporate greed and selfishness.

On November 24, 2010, I wrote managers@acronis.com and customerrelations@I.frys.com. I suggest that my readers and fans fill their inboxes with complaints.

Days have gone by and not one word from either of you. Customer service obviously doesn't exist here. I am 0% satisfied!

I never did receive an email. Since there is no telephone number, I cannot call for assistance. According to the paper inside the box, I'm supposed to receive 24/7 support. Obviously, that is NOT TRUE!

This is about as useless an sending a one legged man to an ass kicking contest!

On Wednesday, I was sold some software that is completely useless to me. I am most disgusted with what I ended up with.

I have a dial up internet connection(26.4kb/s) and this crap times out unfinished after letting it run for 12 hours. I tried and failed several times. I attempted the so called 24/7 tech support via email and have yet to hear from them. Obviously, there's no service after the sale. Your salesman was only interested in himself and could care less about the needs of the customer. I wasted 100 miles worth of gas getting to I-10/Baseline from Maricopa, an afternoon of my time and more money than I make in a week.

I want to return this worthless trash and get my money back.

After five(5) days, I receive an email from someone (Amit Guria) that obviously came from some Third World country and was not capable of reading or understanding English. Obviously, I’m totally pissed off at this point as this idiot advised me to do what I already stated I cannot.

Going back to this Afternoon. . .

Right off the bat, I was forced to go on the defensive. Fry’s Electronics and their employees are hostile, bitter and unfriendly. A repulsive Jessica M. Figuerroa was almost immediately in my face spouting off a list of excuses as to why I was not entitled to a refund. This fat disgusting, rude and hostile manager a.k.a. CUNT (Can’t Understand Normal Thought) insisted on interrupting me and threatening me with expulsion from the store. Hell! I’ve been thrown out of better places. This is how bad Fry’s Electronics wants to keep money they wrongly received from customers. How low would they have gone?

She didn’t like me yelling. Shit! Nobody listens if you don’t. She also said her associates were human. I told her that they were sub-human trash. After all, greedy scum sucking slime is far from being human. If Fry’s Electronics stood behind their merchandise and properly trained their employees, problems like me would never walk in the door in the first place.

Ultimately, I received the refund I was rightly entitled to. The cowardly manager hid her disgusting face behind some papers as I tried to snap a photograph of her. Anyone that would try to steal from a disabled man should be hiding their face in shame. If she’s lucky, some Somali refugee will rape her ass and slit her throat. The world would certainly be a better place if that happened.

There are many more unhappy customers other than myself. . .

I left Tempe/Phoenix with a smile on my face. I was happy to have won another battle and to have seen one less selfish and inconsiderate motorist on the road gambling with other people’s lives.

Prior to becoming Fry's Electronics, this store was known as "Incredible Universe". Several of their employees were caught burglarizing homes they installed home theater entertainment centers in. It makes me wonder if the same people are still runnig the show.

Advice: Always use a credit card when making purchases. You don’t have to pay for things when you are not satisfied with the quality of goods and services purchased.

  1. Good for you I'm glad you stood up for yourself and eventually got your money back. Just sorry that you had to jump through hoops etc to get it done! Stand proud Harry!!!!
