As Their Cities Burn, Mayors From Chicago, St. Louis, Baltimore Beg Obama For More Muslim Refugees

Mayors from eighteen U.S. cities signed a letter to President Obama saying they are willing to take even more refugees than what has been proposed by the administration. “We will welcome the Syrian families to make homes and new lives in our cities,” wrote the mayors, all of whom are part of the Cities United for Immigration Action coalition. Skewing the statistics: On December 31 Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) claimed there were 372 mass shootings–or more than one mass shooting a day–during calendar year 2015. On the other hand, Mother Jones editor Mark Follman reported four mass shootings for the whole year and USA Today reported approximately 22. What accounts for the jump from from four–or even 22–to 372? The jump is the result of Senator Chris Murphy’s (D-CT) complete rejection of the FBI criteria for a mass shooting. Sunday night, the FBI arrived on the scene of the militia standoff at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Because the building is on federal property, the feds are the “primary agency” in charge. The federal officials flew into the area to coordinate with the local authorities who are trying to figure out what to do about 15-20 (not hundreds as was reported previously) heavily armed militia members (or “patriots”) who took over the building. New York Magazine writer: I'd vote to kill militia members in Oregon 'standoff'

On Sunday, New York Magazine writer Jonathan Chait said in a tweet that he would vote to kill militia members who occupied the headquarters of a federal wildlife refuge in Oregon. He later backed down but, Twitchy said, the damage had already been done. Another person said Chait unwittingly revealed "the common Progressive's preferred method of dealing with political adversaries." The same Twitter user went on to congratulate Chait and said he has "publicly endorsed due process free execution by proxy." Examiner

Black Lives Matter protesters in Ferguson, MO supported a strong-arm thief and robbed, looted and burned business. Baltimore, MD rioters also set fires and the police were told to "stand down" and allow the rioters space to destroy. In each instance, where destruction was caused by black thugs, the miscreants were called "peaceful protesters," by the left media. Now, in a case, where the demonstrators happen to be white, they are called "terrorists."
