The start of a busy week. . . Again, my plate is full.

I was on the go last weekend with the recon trip to southern Pinal County’s Ironwood Forest National Monument. Then, there was the senseless vandalism that occurred to my truck on Saturday evening. I kicked off the week with a Sunday night illegal immigration patrol along a busy drug and human smuggling corridor. Now, that autumn is almost here, things are going to get more interesting on the front lines in the battle against crime from south of the border.

After returning from my patrol in the Sawtooth Mountain and Silverbell vicinity, I tried to get some much needed sleep. Shortly before 9:00PM, Booger woke me up by barking. I immediately went outside to investigate. I discovered two windows on my truck were shot out and no suspects to be seen or heard. It appears that some punk with an air rifle is the culprit.

At night, or when visibility is poor, It’s hard to tell the difference between a toy gun and a real firearm. If this suspect(s) has any brains at all, he or she should avoid my property as I will shoot to defend myself, if necessary. The weapons I carry are real and so are the bullets. If I believe that a suspect has a weapon and I feel that I’m in imminent danger, Arizona law allows me to use deadly force.

All good citizens should arm themselves and be prepared to defend their lives and property. I have already stated that the citizens of Pinal County are not worth the expense of protecting, according to Pinal County Board of Supervisors chairman, Pete Rios. He wants to “pass the buck” to the Feds. In the mean time, you’re all sitting ducks.

Based on location, date and time, it appears that these two incidents could possibly be related. Will the PCSO be able to connect the dots and produce a suspect? I’ll give them a few days before dropping them a hint.

I vacuumed the broken glass off the floor and front seat of my truck. Although I was pissed off about this, that didn’t stop me from going back out and patrolling the Stanfield area for most of Sunday night and early Monday morning. Additional armed security was dispatched to my home for the remainder of the weekend.

In the area just west of Stanfield, AZ, there are a number of run down areas where we discovered an abandoned drop house. The dwelling was littered with backpacks and clothing. Those that stayed there, were sitting in their own filth. There are a number of buildings out there that should be bulldozed.
.
We visited another area that was part of a desert litter clean-up campaign. Plastic bags and a bag of corn flour were dumped there. I guess illegal aliens can't make tortillas without water. This goes to show that no matter how much we try to clean things up, these foreign invaders will only ruin it. Everything they touch, turns to crap.

This desert area was criss-crossed with dirt roads, canals and power lines. We also ran into the Border Patrol sometime after midnight. Apparently, this is an active smuggling area. One of the more unusual things we encountered was an old shed that was occupied by a flock of pigeons. They didn’t like us shining our lights on them.

I have to hang out around the house on Wednesday morning. The window glass people are coming out to replace my windshield and door glass. Hopefully, these guys are more prompt and reliable than the people that replaced my windshield the last time. These outfit always give a time range up to four hours as to when they will show up.
